CONCORDIA THEATRE ACCESS PROJECT

The Concordia Theatre is pleased to thank the Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council for its very generous grant of £50,000 towards the theatre’s improved access scheme.

The scheme, involving the provision of two 13 person lifts and a new stairs tower, will allow access to disabled people in wheelchairs and greatly improve the accessibility for residents with mobility problems.

This grant, along with £300,000 already raised by the theatre’s fund raising activities and the generosity of the people of Hinckley and Bosworth, ensures that this scheme will now become a reality in the near future.

A contribution will be made from the Matt Ford evening on Saturday 19th April and additional outside funding is still being explored.

We would like to thank everybody who has supported the many fund raising events, made bequests, donations or undertaken a dedicated event on behalf of the appeal.  It would not have been possible to have arrived at our present position without your support.
